Access Energy, Inc., Invests $126 Million in Pakistan

Access Energy, Inc. has won a contract to launch its innovative 1,000 Megawatt wind-energy project in Pakistan. The project proposal was submitted in response to Alternative Energy Development Board's Request for Proposals in January, 2004. The Request for Proposals calls upon international companies to evaluate and consider implementing renewable energy projects for Pakistan on a national level.

Access Energy's $126 million dollar wind energy project is projected to generate 100 Megawatts of electricity during its first year of operations. The company is also exploring the viability of generating an additional 1,800 Megawatts of wind energy projects via on- and off-shore projects within the next ten years.

This wind energy project includes plans to install a wind turbine manufacturing plant and formal training facilities within Pakistan as well. In addition, Access Energy plans on sponsoring wind-engineering programs in the country's major universities to educate the future engineers and scientists about the advantages of renewable energy technology.

This project will not only provide clean, renewable energy for years to come, but will also create new jobs with the construction and operation of the proposed turbine manufacturing facility and training centers.
